SAN DIEGO - The Padres are set to host their annual FanFest Saturday, giving team supporters a chance to meet players and coaches, run the bases, participate in clinics, tour clubhouses and purchase tickets.

The free event at Petco Park begins at 8:30 a.m. for Padres Platinum, Gold and Blue members, and 10 a.m. for the general public.

More than two dozen Padres players are scheduled to participate, joined by alumni, broadcasters and members of the front office.

All-Star closer Huston Street will host a pitching clinic for kids, while outfielder Cameron Maybin will run a session on batting.

Among other players scheduled to take part are outfielders Chris Denorfia and Carlos Quentin, third baseman Chase Headley, and pitcher Clayton Richard.

Padres owners Ron Fowler and Peter Seidler, executives Tom Garfinkel and Josh Byrnes, manager Bud Black, players and broadcasters are also scheduled to appear at fan forums.

The Padres Foundation is also scheduled to hold its annual garage sale. Proceeds from purchases of game-worn jerseys, batting helmets and other gear will benefit foundation programs.

Parking will be free in lots along Imperial Avenue on the southeast side of Petco Park and in the Padres Parkade at 10th Avenue and J Street.
