Pro Treatment: Hilltop High senior WR looks to continue dominant play

CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - You won't find Gus Ferreira's name on 5-star scouting reports of the most-recruited high school football players in the country. Yet, his 125 catches last season was tops in the nation, according to Hilltop High School head coach Drew Westling.

At just 5 feet 10 inches tall and 145-pounds, Ferreira isn't getting much attention from college coaches heading into his senior season. Still, he's determined to play at the next level.

"Any coach who doesn't pursue him, he is going to shred them," said Westling, who has the utmost confidence in his senior captain.

Hilltop High opens the season on Friday night against La Jolla, and 10News will be on hand to cap a week of Pro Treatment coverage.
