Pro Treatment: For St. Augustine all-everything JR Justice, talent runs in the family

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Next season, he'll be catching passes at San Diego State. This week, J.R. Justice and his Saints teammates are getting The Pro Treatment.

Justice leads St. Augustine High School into a Friday night game against Carlsbad High at Mesa College.

Listed as a receiver, Justice is one of the most versatile players in San Diego County. From time to time, St. Augustine High Coach Richard Sanchez will use the senior as a quarterback, kick returner, defensive back or even as a punter.

If the name and face look familiar, you're probably a baseball fan. J.R.'s father, David Justice, a three-time MLB All-Star who spent most of his 14-year career with the Atlanta Braves and Cleveland Indians.

Asked about following in his dad's big footsteps, Justice said he doesn't mind the higher expectations.

"It just motivates me to get to that level that he got to," Justice told 10News.

Justice heads into his senior season with a commitment to play college football at SDSU after turning down overtures from several Big 5 programs.
