Los Angeles Chargers have new radio, preseason TV broadcast teams for 2017

The Chargers will enter their first season in Los Angeles with new radio and preseason TV broadcast teams, the organization announced Monday.

Los Angeles radio and TV veteran Matt "Money" Smith (play-by-play) and former Chargers star Nick Hardwick (color commentary) will team up for Chargers radio broadcasts on KFI AM 640 in 2017.

The Chargers' three preseason games will be televised on ABC7 Los Angeles, with Spero Dedes and Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Fouts handling the broadcasting duties.

A.G. Spanos, the Chargers' President of Business Operations, said, "Between Matt, Nick, Spero and Dan, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better roster of broadcast talent. Matt and Spero have extensive NFL broadcast experience on a national level and are immediately recognizable and highly-regarded in the LA market. Nick and Dan are two of the most popular, not to mention greatest, Chargers to ever play the game. Both have been able to take their on-field experience and translate it into easily accessible insight from the broadcast booth. We are excited to have this level of talent in place and cannot wait for Chargers football to hit the airwaves this season."

Josh Lewin, who was the Chargers' play-by-play voice for the past 12 seasons, confirmed on Twitter that he would not return.
