Eastlake All-Stars wait to see who they will face in LLWS US Championship game

CHULA VISTA, Calif. - The team representing Chula Vista's Eastlake Little League should find out Friday who it will face in Saturday's U.S. Championship Game in the Little League World Series.

Thursday's scheduled game between the all-star teams from the Westport Little League of Westport, Conn. and the Eastlake Little League of Sammamish, Wash. in South Williamsport, Pa. was postponed by rain and rescheduled for Friday. The winner will advance to the U.S. Championship Game.

The Chula Vista team earned its spot in the U.S. Championship Game by defeating Westport, 6-3, in nine innings with Grant Holman hitting a tie-breaking three-run home run in the ninth.

Neighbors Tijuana, Mexico, rallied past Aguadulce, Panama, 4-2 on Thursday night to earn a berth in the international championship game at the Little League World Series.
