Cubs' Rusch Placed On DL

Chicago, IL -- (Sports Network) - The Chicago Cubs placed pitcher Glendon Rusch on the 15-day disabled list on Thursday with a left lateral epicondylitis.Rusch, a left-hander, is 3-8 with a 7.44 ERA in 22 appearances this season. To replace Rusch on the 25-man roster, the Cubs recalled right-handed pitcher David Aardsma from Triple-A Iowa. Aardsma, who is more famous for being the first player listed alphabetically in baseball history than for his on-field accomplishments, is 1-0 with a 5.59 ERA in three different stints with the Cubs this season.
