Photo Shows Clemens At Party, Attendee Says

Daily News Reports Evidence Of Pitcher At Canseco's Party

Photographic evidence has emerged that shows Roger Clemens at Jose Canseco's 1998 party, the New York Daily News reports.

Clemens swore under oath that he did not attend the former MLB slugger's party, which was mentioned in the Mitchell Report and the Feb. 13 congressional hearing.

The Daily News reported that the photo is owned by a young man who attended Canseco's party when he was 11 years old. At the event he took photos of his favorite baseball players, including Clemens.

Richard Emery, one of the lawyers for Brian McNamee -- Clemens' former trainer who claims he injected the seven-time Cy Young award winner with steroids -- told the Daily News he was aware of the evidence.

"We have reason to believe it's reliable evidence," Emery told the Daily News. "We believe there's photographic evidence that shows Clemens was at a party he says he wasn't at."

The congressional committee that questioned Clemens is still trying to decide whether to initiate a criminal investigation into the pitcher or McNamee for possibly lying to Congress. The pair gave contradicting testimonies during the hearing, as Clemens denied ever having used performance-enhancing drugs and McNamee said the former Yankee did use steroids and human growth hormone.
