FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- The Miami Heat reportedly acquired swingman Ricky Davis as part of a blockbuster five-player deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves Wednesday.According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the Heat also acquired veteran center Mark Blount for forwards Antoine Walker, Michael Doleac and Wayne Simien along with a future conditional first-round pick. The Heat made the move less than 24 hours after concluding a miserable 0-7 preseason.Davis, who is in the final year of a contract that pays nearly $7 million per season, averaged 17 points, 4.8 assists and 3.9 rebounds in 2006-07. Meanwhile, Blount tallied 12.3 points and 6.2 rebounds per contest last year.Walker was deemed dispensable after butting heads with Heat coach Pat Riley over conditioning issues. The former Kentucky star is still a dynamic scorer and deft passer when motivated. Walker scored 8.5 points and dished out 1.7 assists per game last year.Doleac was the Heat's third center behind Shaquille O'Neal and Alonzo Mourning, while Simien has struggled with injuries and illness since being taken in the first round of the 2005 NBA Draft.
