Official Contest Rules
**You must agree to the rules in order to enter the contest. **
- How it works: No purchase or payment of any money is necessary to enter. There is no cash or exchange value for prizes, and prizes are not transferable. All federal, state, and/or local rules and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law. The 10News.Com/Harvest Festival contest runs from September 29 to October 20, 2008. Seven prizes will be awarded. The Grand Prize is a gift certificate of $200 Harvest Festival Shopping Spree at the Harvest Festival on October 24-26 plus 4 complementary admission passes; valued at $236 for the total grand prize. Six other winning entries will be selected to each receive 4 admission passes valued at $36 per prize. Winner is responsible for his or her own delivery, transportation, taxes, gratuities, governmental fees, etc. No substitutions for prizes are available.
- Eligibility: Must be 18 or older to enter. The contest is open to all residents of San Diego County. Employees of ABC, Internet Broadcast Systems, KGTV, The McGraw-Hill Companies, its parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, all sponsors, advertising and promotion agencies and all others associated with the development and execution of this contest and their respective employees, families, and assigns are not eligible to enter.
- To enter: Log on to 10News.com, go to Entertainment or Contest section and click on "Harvest Festival" contest and fill in the entry form for the Harvest Festival Contest. All entries must be received by the midnight, local time on October 20, 2008. One (1) Winner will win the Grand Prize of $200 gift certificate and 4 tickets, and six (6) winners will receive a 4 pack of tickets each and be selected on or about October 21, 2008 from a random drawing from all entries received by 10News.com/KGTV. Winners will be contacted by telephone and/or e-mail.
- Prize: One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded containing a $200 Gift Certificate and a pack of 4 tickets; total value of $236. Six (6) winners will receive a pack of four (4) tickets to the Harvest Festival. Each of the 6 prizes is valued at $36.00 per prize. The Harvest Festival is October 24-26, 2008. Winner is responsible for his or her own delivery, transportation, taxes, gratuities, governmental fees, etc. No substitutions for prizes are available. Acceptance of prize offered constitutes permission to use the winner's name and/or likeness for advertising /trade purposes without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
- Selection of Winners: Seven (7) total winning entries will be selected on or about October 21, 2008 (one grand prize and six additional winners) from a random drawing from all entries received by 10News.com. Winners will be contacted by telephone and/or e-mail. Winners must identify himself/herself with a valid driver's license or state identification card and complete and sign an affidavit of eligibility, release and indemnification in the time period specified by the station to claim the prize. Prizes not claimed by April 24, 2008 will be forfeited. No substitution or transfer of prize will be permitted. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded. Payment of all taxes and fees, and procurement of all licenses is solely the responsibility of the Prize Winner. Winners will pick up the tickets at the KGTV Studios. 4600 Air Way, San Diego, CA 92102.
- Conditions: ABC, Internet Broadcast Systems, KGTV, The McGraw-Hill Companies and its parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, all sponsors, advertising and promotion agencies and all others associated with the development and execution of this contest and their respective employees, families, and assigns, from and against any and all liability with respect to or in any way arising from the contest and the awarding and use of the prizes, including liability for personal injury and /or property damage. By entering, unless prohibited by law, the winners consent to use of their names, photographs and/or likeness for advertising or publicity purposes for this and similar promotions without compensation. KGTV retains the discretion to make decisions regarding the interpretations and applications of these rules. All decisions of KGTV are final.
- Responsibility & Liability: The sponsors, ABC, Internet Broadcast Systems, KGTV 10News, and The McGraw-Hill Companies assume no responsibility or liability for damages, losses or injuries resulting from the use of or acceptance of any prize. The sponsor reserves the right, on its sole and absolute discretion to interpret compliance with the letter and intent of these rules, and to disqualify any applicant deemed to have violated these rules or to have filled out any application incorrectly at anytime prior to the distribution of prizes. Additions or deletions to these rules are subject to change without notice. In the event the contest is postponed for any reason, the timetable may be altered at the discretion of KGTV.
- Odds of Winning: The odds of winning depend upon the number of people entering.
- Estimated Value: $236.00 for Grand Prize winner; 6 other winners prize value is $36.00. Total Prize Value: $272.00.
