The County of San Diego Office of Emergency Services (OES) is in charge of helping people before and after an emergency! They help organize the actions of the police, fire, and other agencies. Together, they help San Diego prevent, prepare for, and recover from emergencies and disasters. Disasters can be natural or man-made. Floods, earthquakes, and even some wildfires are caused by nature. Man-made disasters are caused by the actions of people. In the past, people have caused explosions and fires. No matter what kind of disaster, there are things you can do to be prepared!
