Official Contest Rules
- How It Works: No purchase or payment of any money is necessary to enter. There is no cash or exchange value for prizes, and prizes are not transferable. All federal, state, and/or local rules and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law. The 10News.Com/Win Great Stuff by Watching TV" contest runs from September 26 through October 30, 2005. One grand prize will be awarded. Grand prize includes Poker Party for 10 at Harrah's Rincon Casino and dinner for 10 at Harrah's Cabana Cove Restaurant on the evening of November 16, 2006. Grand Prize also includes a one-night stay at Harrah's (offer good for midweek stay only, based on availability and does not include food, taxes, gratuities or alcohol). Value $900. Grand Prize also includes three-months of unlimited green fees at Cottonwood Golf Club valid seven days a week. Please note there will be a $12 cart fee for each round of golf, value: $1,050. Grand Prize package is valued at $1,950. There will also be a prize winner each week for four weeks. The weekly prize is a one-night stay at Harrah's Rincon Casino & Resort (offer good for midweek stay only, based on availability and does not include food, taxes, gratuities or alcohol). The drawings for the weekly winner will take place every Friday for four weeks (9/30, 10/7, 10/14 and 10/21). Each weekly prize is valued at $100, total value of four weekly prizes, $400.Winner is responsible for his or her own delivery, transportation, taxes, gratuities, governmental fees, etc. No substitutions for prizes are available.
- Eligibility: Must be at least 21 years of age to enter. The contest is open to all residents of San Diego County. Employees of ABC, Internet Broadcast Systems, KGTV, McGraw-Hill Inc, its parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, all sponsors, advertising and promotion agencies and all others associated with the development and execution of this contest and their respective employees, families, and assigns are not eligible to enter.
- To enter: Log on to 10News.com and fill in the entry form for the Win Great Stuff by Watching TV Contest. All entries must be received by close of business, local time on October 30, 2005. Winner will be selected on or about October 30, 2005 from a random drawing from all entries received by KGTV. Winners will be contacted by telephone and/or e-mail.
- Prize: One Grand Prize will be awarded. Grand Prize includes Poker Party and dinner for 10 at Harrah's Rincon Casino, one-night hotel stay and three-months of unlimited green fees at Cottonwood Golf Club valid seven days a week, total package value: $1950. In addition, there will be a prize winner each week for four weeks. - Selection of winners: One winning entry will be selected on or about October 30, 2005 from a random drawing from all entries received by KGTV. Winners will be contacted by telephone and/or e-mail. Winners must identify himself/herself with a valid driver's license or state identification card and complete and sign an affidavit of eligibility, release and indemnification in the time period specified by the station to claim the prize. Prizes not claimed by November 2, 2005 will be forfeited. No substitution or transfer of prize will be permitted. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded. Payment of all taxes and fees, and procurement of all licenses is solely the responsibility of the Prize Winner.
- Conditions: ABC, Internet Broadcast Systems, KGTV, McGraw-Hill Inc. and its parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, all sponsors, advertising and promotion agencies and all others associated with the development and execution of this contest and their respective employees, families, and assigns, from and against any and all liability with respect to or in any way arising from the contest and the awarding and use of the prizes, including liability for personal injury and /or property damage. By entering, unless prohibited by law, the winners consent to use of their names, photographs and/or likeness for advertising or publicity purposes for this and similar promotions without compensation. KGTV retains the discretion to make decisions regarding the interpretations and applications of these rules. All decisions of KGTV are final.
- Responsibility & Liability: The sponsors, ABC, Internet Broadcast Systems, KGTV, and McGraw-Hill assume no responsibility or liability for damages, losses or injuries resulting from the use of or acceptance of any prize. The sponsor reserves the right, on its sole and absolute discretion to interpret compliance with the letter and intent of these rules, and to disqualify any applicant deemed to have violated these rules or to have filled out any application incorrectly at anytime prior to the distribution of prizes. Additions or deletions to these rules are subject to change without notice. In the event the contest is postponed for any reason, the timetable may be altered at the discretion of KGTV.
- Odds of Winning: The odds of winning depend upon the number of people entering.
- Estimated Value: The value of the grand prize package is estimated at $1,950. The value of the weekly prizes is estimated at $400. Estimated value of all prizes, $2,350.
