Bank Donates $1 Million To Wildfire Recovery

SAN DIEGO -- Pacific Western Bank announced Wednesday a $1 million donation for wildfire recovery efforts in San Diego County, with $100,000 of the gift to benefit the families of firefighters and police. The money will be administered through a fund established with the San Diego Foundation, a local nonprofit charitable organization, according to San Diego-based Pacific Western Bank, a subsidiary of First Community Bancorp. Also Wednesday, California Bank & Trust announced a donation to help victims of the wildfires in San Diego County.
The San Diego-based bank is donating $100,000 to the United Way of San Diego County and an additional $50,000 for local relief efforts. California Bank & Trust will also be accepting donations for the United Way at its 90 branch offices statewide, officials said.
