SAN DIEGO -- The last evacuation orders associated with last week's firestorm were lifted countywide Wednesday. People who live and work in and around the La Jolla Reservation and Palomar Mountain, and along Highway 76 were being allowed to return home, said Jose Alvarez, a county spokesman. The Poomacha fire prompted the evacuations, as well as road closures in northeastern San Diego County.
The Cleveland National Forest remains off limits for recreational purposes.
