SAN DIEGO -- All of the proceeds from Gwen Stefani's upcoming show in San Diego will go to a charity to help victims of the wildfires, it was announced Monday.

The Grammy Award-winning performer, who hails from Orange County, made the announcement on 93.3 KHTS in advance of her concert Tuesday night at San Diego State University's Cox Arena.

"When I heard about the devastation of the fires, at first I felt I should cancel my show out of respect. But then it occurred to me there might be a more useful solution," she said.

Proceeds from the show will benefit the nonprofit San Diego Foundation's "After-the-Fires Fund 2007."

Stefani is winding down her worldwide "The Sweet Escape Tour" with stops this week in Tucson, Stockton, Oakland and Santa Barbara.
