Fourth District City Council Election Just Around Corner

POSTED: 5:03 pm PST November 9, 2004

People in the 4th District have at least one more trip to the polls before the end of the year, 10News reported.

Eight candidates are hoping voters elect them to serve on the City Council to replace Charles Lewis, who died three months ago.

Dwayne Crenshaw lost a close race to Lewis two years ago. He said people should make it a priority to vote.

"They're expecting a low turnout. I'm encouraging people to go out and vote. For whoever you vote for, it is really important for our community to move forward into the future," Crenshaw said.
