SD Representatives Speak Out On The Issues
All this week on 10News "Closer Look" at 5:30 p.m., you'll be hearing from your local congressional representatives about their goals for the upcoming session and working with the Obama Administration. Each was allotted up to three minutes of unedited, unscripted time.In addition, each was asked to comment on some of the key political issues facing Congress to be seen only on 10News.com.Rep. Brian Bilbray, 50th District; Rep. Darrell Issa, 49th District; Rep. Duncan D. Hunter, 52nd District and Rep. Susan Davis, 53rd District answered the following questions:
What are your ideas for addressing the current economic crisis? What is the United States’ role in Iraq? What is your position on immigration? The environment and energy are topics of concern. What do you see as the issues and what do you suggest we should do? What ethical standard do you believe you think an elected representative should be held to? Staff members for Rep. Bob Filner, 51st District, said the Congressman was unavailable and declined to participate.
