Emperor’s Club VIP is a high-end international escort service that seeks to attract rich and powerful men to its Web site. Its stated goal was “to make life more peaceful, balanced, beautiful and meaningful."

The Web site, which is no longer active, was apparently successful, as the starting rate was a minimum of $1,000 an hour for the companionship of one of the women featured.

Page after page on the site had professional, well-lit photos of beautiful, scantily-clad women laid out to select from.

The women were all rated on a scale of three diamonds to seven diamonds, and the prices were explained in simple detail, ranging from $1,000 an hour for three diamonds to $3,100 an hour for seven diamonds.

The diamond rates were set "according to individual education, sophistication, and ambiance created by each of our models," according to the site.

There were also day rates, which started at $10,000 a day up to $31,000 a day. For international customers, the rates were also laid out in Euros and Pounds Sterling. The site said it served Manhattan, the New York tri-state area, Los Angeles, Toronto, Montreal, London and Europe.

Once a photo was selected of a certain “model,” whose faces were never shown completely, the viewer was taken to their personal page.

One model’s page, Maya, said that the seven-diamond model serves the Los Angeles area by appointment only. It gave her height, weight and measurements, and said, “She has won multiple international beauty contests as the prestigious Miss Hawaiian Tropic, Miss Top Model, Miss Photogenic and more.”

But despite the sleek, high-class image the site projected with its glossy photos and production value, it was wrought with spelling errors, incorrect word usage and improper grammar. One sentence promised “a luxuriously enjoyable dating / travel experience with some of the wolrd's (sic) most exclusive companions.”

The site said it accepted all major credit cards, authorized bank cashier’s checks and most foreign currencies. A currency converter was also provided, and a 20 percent bank exchange fee would apply when paying via foreign currency.

Gift certificates were also available upon request, and phone numbers for the United States, United Kingdom, France and Switzerland were all listed, or a reservation could be made online.
