Applewood Winery is nestled in New York’s wine country. The vineyard produces Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc and barrel-fermented reds, combining grapes harvested from its own vines with others also grown in-state. The property features a farmhouse built in the 1700s, and wine tastings are available. 56 Auto Drive-In Theatre

As part of the Staten Island Botanical Garden, the New York Chinese Scholar’s Garden is an urban utopia that will make visitors forget they are in one of New York’s five boroughs. The garden was fabricated in China, shipped overseas and then installed locally by 30 Chinese artisans.
