Sabres Lock Up Kotalik

(Sports Network) - The Buffalo Sabres agreed to terms with forward Ales Kotalik on a multi-year deal, the team announced on Sunday.

Kotalik, 28, had his best season last year and posted career-highs in games played (82), goals (25) and assists (37). He also posted four goals and seven assists during the team's run to the Eastern Conference Finals, which Buffalo lost to the Carolina Hurricanes in seven games.

In four seasons, all with Buffalo, he has 62 goals and 65 assists in 225 games.
