Red Wings D Kronwall Shelved With Knee Injury

(Sports Network) - Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall is expected to be out at least four weeks with a sprained ligament in his left knee, according to a report in the Detroit Free Press.

Kronwall was injured on a knee-on-knee hit by Montreal forward Georges Laraque in the first period of Saturday's 3-2 shootout victory.

The Swede has five goals and eight assists in 21 games this season.
