Roethlisberger Hurt In Loss To Chiefs

POSTED: 4:10 pm PST November 22, 2009

(Sports Network) - Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was shaken up in Sunday's 27-24 overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

The injury occurred in the extra session when he was struck in the helmet by the knee of Kansas City linebacker Derrick Johnson while being sacked. He was replaced by Charlie Batch.

Before exiting the game, Roethlisberger completed 32-of-42 passes for 398 yards with three touchdowns, but was picked off twice by Andy Studebaker, including once in the end zone.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin commented on the status of Roethlisberger after the game.

"He took a blow," Tomlin said. "Needless to say it was a concussion-oriented thing. So I doubt he was going to come back in the football game. I don't have a lot of information in terms of where he is or his level of availability."
