Broncos' Marshall Has Suspension Reduced To One Game

POSTED: 5:53 pm PDT August 28, 2008

(Sports Network) - The NFL announced on Thursday that the Denver Broncos' Brandon Marshall had his three-game suspension for a violation of the NFL's personal conduct policy reduced to one game following the wide receiver's appeal.

Marshall was originally penalized without pay for the first three regular season games in 2008, but commissioner Roger Goodell has stated the suspension will begin August 30 and conclude after Denver's monday-night opener against the Oakland Raiders on September 8.

In 16 games last season, Marshall led the Broncos with 102 receptions for 1,325 yards and seven touchdowns. He had just 20 catches for 309 yards with two scores in his rookie season of 2006.
