Man Involved In Hit-And-Run Crashes Again, Dies

OCEANSIDE, Calif. -- An autopsy is pending Monday for a suspected hit-and-run driver who apparently lost control of his pickup truck while speeding away from the site of a weekend collision in Oceanside.The 35-year-old man's white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck collided with another pickup on Rancho Del Oro Drive around 11:15 p.m. Saturday, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.As the Tacoma driver sped away southbound in northbound traffic lanes, he lost control of his truck in the 400 block of Rancho Del Oro Drive and veered off the roadway, the Medical Examiner's Office reported.
The Tacoma apparently mounted a curb and possibly rolled over before striking a large building at El Camino High School.The man, who lived in Vista, died at the scene, according to the Medical Examiner's Office. His name was not immediately released.
