POSTED: 7:46 am PDT October 27, 2009

A man wearing a fencing mask and white gloves robbed a convenience store in western Clairemont Mesa, but no one was hurt, police said Tuesday.

The man, who was not carrying a weapon, demanded cash from a clerk at Circle K store at 4360 Genesee Ave. around 11:10 p.m. Monday, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.

The clerk complied and the man ran away in a southbound direction, Delimitros said.

Police described the strong-arm robber as white, around 6 feet and 180 pounds.
