Two Men Arrested In Bagel Store Robbery

OCEANSIDE, Calif. -- Two young men were in custody Tuesday on suspicion of using a shotgun to rob a Bruegger's Bagels in Oceanside, police said.Miguel Devivar, 21, and James Leipert, 19, were arrested Monday in connection with an armed robbery that took place Friday afternoon, Oceanside police Officer Kim Rainwater said.The men allegedly robbed Bruegger's Bagels in the 4100 block of Oceanside Boulevard of about $1,000 in cash shortly before 4:30 p.m. Friday, Rainwater said.
Arresting officers seized weapons, disguises and narcotics after entering Devivar and Leipert's homes on Monday, according to Rainwater, who did not say how detectives identified the men as suspects.Each man was booked into the Vista jail on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy charges. Leipert was also booked on suspicion of a narcotics charge, she said.
