World's largest Lego model unveiled: X-wing arrives at Legoland California

CARLSBAD, Calif. - The world's largest Lego model, which depicts a "Star Wars" X-wing fighter, opened for viewing Thursday at the Legoland California Resort.

The model is 43 feet long, 11 feet tall, weighs almost 46,000 pounds and includes around five million Lego bricks, according to the theme park. It took 32 model builders about 17,000 hours to complete.

The X-wing was built in honor of "LEGO Star Wars The Yoda Chronicles," a new show on the Cartoon Network, featuring Yoda, the Jedi Master, park officials said.

The model made its debut recently in Times Square in New York City.
