Woman Stabbed With Scissors After Argument

Incident Occurred In Area Near 17th, F Streets In East Village

An argument between two women at a homeless encampment in downtown San Diego's East Village ended with one stabbing the other in the head with a pair of scissors, police said Saturday.

The victim was taken to a hospital and was expected to survive the attack, which occurred at about 11:15 a.m. Friday in the area of 17th and F streets, said Sgt. Ray Battrick. She was identified as being between 40 to 50 years old.

Police were looking for the stabbing suspect, who was described as a white woman in her 40s who is 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. She was wearing a white shirt and black pants, Battrick said.
