SAN DIEGO - Police are investigating a report of a sexual assault that happened early Thursday morning near Morley Field.

According to San Diego police, the woman, who is in her 20s, said she was walking alone through Morley Field at about 3 a.m. when the occurred.

The woman told police she was on her way home from a Halloween party at a bar when three men wearing masks and costumes beat her and then sexually assaulted her. The woman ran to a friend's apartment a few blocks away to report the attack.

The friend told 10News that the woman had been drinking and partying at True North Tavern in North Park, and then decided to walk home by herself.

The woman was taken to the hospital.

Police said because the men were in costume, investigators do not have a good description they are looking for.
