A woman is being treated for serious injuries Monday morning after she was attacked by a dog.

According to police, the woman was mauled by a pit bull around 2:30 a.m. in the 2900 block of Highview Lane in La Presa.Sheriff deputies who arrived on scene said the dog may have broken the womans leg during the attack.She was taken to Scripps Mercy Hospital and it is unknown at this time why the dog attacked the woman.The dog was taken from the home by County Animal Control officers.Copyright Do you have more information about this story?
