Christy Henry's water broke just five minutes into the drive to Kaiser Zion Hospital in Allied Gardens from Chula Vista.

"I pushed and my water broke, pushed again and his head was out. Pushed again and his whole body was out and then I felt a lot better," Henry said.

Her husband, Matt, was driving as quickly as possible down Interstate 5.

"He was born driving really fast down the 5," Matt Henry said.

Matt called 911, but finished the drive to the hospital.

"Once he was out, I just held him and Matt kept driving to the hospital," Christy said.

When they arrived, Matt ran inside to tell them his wife had just given birth in the front seat.

"I came up and I'm like, OK, we literally just gave birth in our car on the way over so I'm going to need some help in the car," Matt said.

The baby born at 2:03 a.m. is still waiting on a name, but Christy and Matt said maybe it will have something to do with his exciting delivery.
