SAN DIEGO - A man grabbed a 21-year-old woman and pulled her toward his car in the College Area, but she screamed and got away, police said Sunday.

The woman told officers she was walking to her car in the vicinity of 63rd Street and Montezuma Road shortly before 6:30 p.m. Saturday when a man drove alongside her in a black Honda Civic, San Diego police Officer David Stafford said.

He got out of the car, grabbed her wrist and tried to pull her toward his car, but she screamed and broke away from him, Stafford said.

The suspect then got back into his car and drove away, Stafford said.
