Rancho Coastal Humane Society has space to provide temporary care for 20 dogs and 30 cats belonging to people evacuated by the fires. They will provide temporary care for evacuated pets while space is available.
Calavera Hills Community Center

Calavera Hills Community Center is open as a shelter accepting residents and their pets such as dogs, cats and rabbits. Community members are asked to crate their animals and have leashes available for their dogs. The shelter is fully stocked and not in need of donations at this time.

Residents with larger animals such as livestock are asked to head to Westfield Plaza Camino Real.

For large animals: This location has open pens and a horse arena, water and emergency services. There are no cages for dogs and cats, but they are accepted on leash.
