What's Open, Closed On Memorial Day?

Most Government Offices Will Be Closed Monday

Police and firefighters will be on the job Monday, but most government offices will be closed for Memorial Day.

In San Diego, the Miramar Landfill will be open with regular hours, from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Also open will be municipal golf courses, Chollas Lake, the Mission Trails Regional Park visitors center, and city pools -- from noon to 4 p.m.

Libraries, recreation centers and the Tecolote Nature Center will be closed.

Garbage will not be collected Monday, and the pickup schedule will be pushed back a day for the rest of the week.

Parking at meters in San Diego will be free.

Most county-run parks will be open, but the Fallbrook Community Center, Lakeside Community Center and Teen Center, and Spring Valley Community Center, gymnasium and Teen Center will be closed.

The 4S Ranch Sports Park will also be closed.
