A "Wheel of Fortune" contestant lost in the game show after mispronouncing a word even though she gave the correct answer to a word puzzle.

Renee Durette, a Navy Intel Specialist from Florida, had the correct answer -- Seven Swans a Swimming -- but she dropped the 'g' at the end of the phrase.

Show judges said the answer violated the rules because it was spoken in vernacular.

Viewers took to Twitter to express their anger, commenting that the game show was unfair to Durette.

Despite losing, Durette said she still had a good time during the show.
