Online voters have selected North Korea's 20-something dictator Kim Jong Un as their pick for Time Magazine's Person of the Year for 2012.

Kime received 5.6 million online votes, but the magazine said that it had been the target of campaigns like '4Chan,' which pushed Kim's total up.

Kim has only been the leader of North Korea for less than a year, but he has had an eventful 2012.

Time Magazine said this vote does not mean Kim is Time's Person of the Year. That choice is ultimately made by the editors of Time and will be revealed Dec. 19.
