Report: Smoking in movies on the rise: Levels the same as a decade ago
Officials concerned about influence on kids

Smoking in youth-rated movies is on the rise.
According to a new report funded by Legacy for Health, instances of people using tobacco in youth-rated movies doubled between 2010 to 2012.
These levels are the same as a decade ago.
Movies with high levels of characters smoking include The Hobbit, Lincoln, Skyfall, Men in Black 3 and Taken 2.
Some say this is a cause for concern since 2012 report from the Surgeon General warned that watching movies with characters who smoke causes kids to start the habit.
