College students in Florida may soon be convinced to study different majors because of tuition costs.

A new task force on college costs set up by Gov. Rick Scott recommends Florida schools give a break to students who major in math and science.

That's because jobs related to those subjects are in demand in Florida, according to the task force. Meanwhile, students who major in things like performing arts, psychology and political science would pay more because they would have to move out of state to find work.

The state's Board of Governors would have to sign off on the change before it takes effect.
