Water restored for North Park residents after main break: Florida Court remains closed

Georgia Street reopened

SAN DIEGO - Water was flowing again Tuesday in dozens of North Park homes that were left without service Monday when a 50-year-old concrete line broke.

Water from the broken 6-inch pipeline began flowing into Georgia Street at Florida Court shortly after 5 p.m. Monday, according to police and the city's Public Utilities Department.

The broken section was replaced with a PVC pipe, and service was restored by about 2 a.m. today, Arian Collins of the Public Utilities Department said.

The western end of Florida Court was temporarily closed to accommodate repair crews.
