EL CAJON, Calif. - A broken hydrant formed into a large water geyser in an El Cajon neighborhood Tuesday afternoon, causing flooding in the street.
The fire hydrant broke shortly before 5 p.m. in the 800 block of Lura Avenue, according to authorities.
Crews were able to shut the water off after about 10 minutes.
No major damage to homes was reported, and the flooding in the street did not last long as the water quickly drained.
The cause is under investigation.
