IMPERIAL BEACH, Calif. - A 41-year-old man wanted on suspicion of murder in Tennessee was in custody in San Diego Tuesday, following his arrest in Imperial Beach.
Troy Lynn King allegedly fled to Imperial Beach after fatally shooting Thomas Colucci, 41, on Nov. 13 at the victim's home in Coffee County, Tenn., according to a statement from the U.S. Marshals Service.
Colucci worked as a stage manager for country singer Jo Dee Messina, according to Nashville press.
King was arrested without incident in Imperial Beach on Wednesday, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department's website, which showed him being held in San Diego Central Jail pending extradition.
The motive for the slaying was unclear, however a Tennessee grand jury indicted King on both murder and theft charges, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
