A man and a woman wanted on felony warrants were in custody Friday after a team of sheriff's deputies and parole agents surrounded a home in Spring Valley and the suspects peacefully surrendered, authorities said.

Documented gang member and state parolee Josue Rodriquez, 32, was arrested about 2:45 p.m. Thursday in the 800 block of Felicita Ave., along with 34-year-old Michele Salas, according to San Diego County sheriff's Sgt. Chris Davis.

Salas had been wanted since 2009 for a felony no bail warrant for narcotics trafficking and possession of an illegal weapon, Davis said.

Both Rodriquez and Salas were under the influence of a controlled substance at the time of their arrests, according to the sergeant, who said the pair came out of the home after an announcement from a sheriff's helicopter was made.

Following the arrests, authorities searched the home and found several illegal weapons, including two billy clubs, and possible stolen property, Davis said.
