VIRAL VIDEO: Sinkholes swallow cars, firetruck in rain-drenched Los Angeles

(KGTV) -- Officials are working to assess a massive sinkhole in Studio City that swallowed two cars Friday night.

Ambulances and rescue crews responded to calls of a car inside the sinkhole at Laurel Canyon south of Ventura Boulevard. Another car teetering on the edge of the sinkhole fell in moments later after crews arrived.

There was no one in the car when it fell in, according to ABC7 in Los Angeles. 

A driver in the first car was able to crawl out with the help of fire crews, authorities said. One woman was taken to the hosptial. 

Video from the scene shows water gushing underneath the road where the two cars are currently stuck.
