WADSWORTH, Ill. - When the president of the Unites States sends out a package, you'd think it would get where it was supposed to go. But apparently someone couldn't figure out where a special gift from the White House was supposed to end up.
A book of personal White House family photos ended up at the home of Alane Church, who lives near Chicago -- the president's hometown.
Church says the book is both "beautiful" and "personal" -- and she found it shoved in the bottom of a damaged box of packages her family opened on New Year's Day.
Chicago TV station WLS reports the book included a handwritten gift tag from "Barack, Michelle + the girls."
Church won't show anyone what's in the book -- but wants to make sure it gets the right person.
The White House confirmed the errant delivery -- but offered no details.
