SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies are looking for a teenage boy who stole money that a Girl Scout troop had earned selling cookies.
Cpl. Randy Naquin says the Girls Scouts reported that the youth grabbed a bag of money from their table outside a Stater Bros. supermarket Sunday evening.
The victims were packing up their supplies to go home just before 7 p.m. at the Phelan-area store when the thief took the bag and ran.
One Girl Scout chased him, but fell, causing minor scrapes and scratches.
Naquin says there is surveillance video of the teen entering the store.
The amount of money taken was not disclosed.
