Suspected child sex predator 'John Doe 27' sought by FBI

The FBI is asking for the public's help in identifying a man suspected of sexually exploiting a child.

According to the FBI, "John Doe 27" is described as white, likely between the ages of 40-50, with brown hair, graying sideburns and a bald spot. FBI officials said the man wears glasses and a ring on his right ring finger.

Based on audio from video files they obtained, the FBI said John Doe 27 may have a Southern accent and refers to himself as "Jimmy."

The FBI also released an image of a plaid chair and inside of a residence that they hope will be recognized by someone who knows the subject or victim.

In video and images initially obtained by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in April 2013, John Doe 27 is seen engaging in "sexually explicit activities with a child."

The FBI said the images and video are "still being circulated in numerous child pornography forums across the Internet."
"There are no specific details linking the suspect to a particular state or region of the United States, and both his identity and whereabouts are currently unknown," the FBI stated.
Anyone with information to provide should submit a tip online at or call the FBI's toll-free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI.
