New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has an idea about you should do with the leftovers.
Bloomberg wants New Yorkers to separate their food scraps for composting. The New York Times reports the Bloomberg administration plans to begin a city-wide collection program.
Officials say composting would be voluntary at first, but could become mandatory in the next few years. New Yorkers who didn't separate their food scraps could face fines.
