Popular deal website LivingSocial.com says they are contacting more than 50 million customers whose information may have been exposed in an attack on their servers.
LivingSocial said that customers began to receive emails about the attack Friday.
"We will continue until all of those customers have been contacted," a company representative said. "The database that stores customer credit card data was not accessed or affected by the attack."
Leaked customer data included names, email addresses and -- in some cases -- birth dates.
Passwords were encrypted, but LivingSocial recommends that users create a new one.
