UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - About 10 people had to be taken off Universal Studios' Transformers: The Ride Monday when one of the cars became stuck, but nobody was injured.
Firefighters were sent to the attraction in the 3900 block of Lankershim Boulevard at 9:10 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
According to a statement from the theme park, the ride "encountered a technical difficulty" and "a small number of guests" were helped off the attraction.
The ride was closed while it underwent an inspection, but it reopened at 12:30 p.m., according to the park.
The ride, which includes a track, motion-control technology and big video screens, opened to rave reviews in 2012, with Universal crediting it with an uptick in attendance at its Hollywood amusement park that year.
