Jesus 'Alex' Arteaga Accused Of Stabbing Wife To Death

A special unit of the U.S. Marshals Service has joined the search for a man accused of killing his estranged wife, 10News reported.

Jesus Alejandro Arteaga allegedly stabbed Maribel Arteaga in her Chula Vista home on December 11. Authorities said the couple's two children were in the home when the incident took place.

Maribel Arteaga recently began her career as a U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent and was two months pregnant with her third child.

Jesus Arteaga, also known as Alex, is believed to be hiding in a Tijuana neighborhood.

The U.S. Marshals Service is offering up to $5,000 reward for information leading to Jesus Arteaga's arrest.
