Two tiger cubs found in Arizona backyards have found a new home at a wildlife park

Tigers are 8 months old

PHOENIX - Two tiger cubs found in Phoenix-area backyards have found a new home at a wildlife park in northern Arizona.

Arizona Game and Fish officials on Tuesday transferred the cubs to the Out of Africa Wildlife Park in Camp Verde.

One of the cubs was found in a Phoenix backyard on New Year's Eve and the second tiger was found three days later in Queen Creek.

Both tigers are 8 months old and weigh about 200 pounds.

Game and Fish officials believe the tigers are owned by the same man and likely were legally purchased in another state.

But they say the animals' owner will be cited when he's located because Arizona prohibits the possession of all wild carnivores.
